The headline acts

Scotland vs Brazil (6:00 PM ET, Miami) is the marquee fixture. Brazil arrive among the tournament favourites and will fancy their chances of sealing top spot, while Scotland — roared on by a famous travelling support — will look to frustrate the five-time world champions and grab the result that could define their campaign. We break the matchup down in full in our Scotland vs Brazil preview.

Czechia vs Mexico (9:00 PM ET, Mexico City) sends the hosts back to the iconic Estadio Azteca. Mexico will have a partisan crowd behind them as they push for the knockout rounds, with Czechia standing in the way. Our Mexico vs Czechia preview has the team-by-team read.

Switzerland vs Canada (3:00 PM ET, Vancouver) puts the second host nation under the spotlight. Canada will want to make home advantage count at a raucous BC Place against an organised Swiss side — a genuine test of how far this Canadian team can go on home soil.

The rest of the slate

The other three games carry real weight too. Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Qatar in Seattle pairs two sides chasing a first win, Morocco vs Haiti sees one of Africa’s strongest teams aiming to build momentum against a spirited Haitian outfit, and South Africa vs Korea Republic in Monterrey offers a finely balanced clash between two teams who will both back themselves to advance from their group.

What to watch for

With the group stage now deep into its second round of fixtures, every point matters: top spots, knockout berths and the race for the best third-placed qualifiers in this 48-team field are all starting to crystallise. Expect host-nation drama in Vancouver and Mexico City, a heavyweight test for Scotland in Miami, and plenty of teams treating June 24 as a must-not-lose.
